The Athenian Riviera

Where to Eat in Voula

Voula is especially charming during the summer months, its relaxed vibe makes it a perfect destination to enjoy a staycation or a vacation in the Athenian Riviera. The majority of eateries in Voula are sprawled across the main square or the Platia Voulas, or on the surrounding side streets.

Voula is also a popular residential area among the expat community, therefore you will find a great mix of nationalities living in this part of Athens. Being a local resident of Voula for about 25 years, I have enjoyed a fair amount of meals in my neighborhood. Here are some recommendations:

DRAKOULIS DRY & RAW

Vas. Pavlou 103, Voula 16673

The Drakoulis meat in Voula is one of those fancy places where you can enjoy a superb meat shopping and dine-in experience. There are not too many tables available, and they are located on the ground level thus reservations are highly recommended.

If you want to treat your taste buds to some fine Kobe meat or Black Angus, this is the place for you. Their menu offers a beautiful balance of generous but not over the top and the wine list is equally distinct. Steak lovers will definitely appreciate the attention to detail and level of service, to select your order you must discuss your preferences with the main butcher. He is there to ensure that you have a delicious experience from selection to degustation.

KEBABTZIDIKON TO GNISION

Leof. Vasileos Pavlou 82, Voula 166 73

This kebab shop located on the pedestrian area of main square of Voula enjoys ample space, cozy environment and ideal for families with kids. The menu includes a selection of meat dishes, kebab and appetizers. There are half or full portions available also.

The menu is inspired by flavors from Asia Minor and plenty of spices are used in preparing flavourful dishes. They also offer take-away and delivery services. Ideal for all times of day and late-evening cravings.

OVEN

Leof. Vasileos Pavlou 104, Voula

Hidden in a corner of a shopping center in a commercial area of Voula, this coffee shop has become a meeting point for the locals. The atmosphere of this place is very pleasant and the staff is very friendly. During sunny days, which are plenty in Greece due to the blessed weather all year round, tables are placed on the pedestrian street offering more seating spaces for guests, as it gets quite busy during the weekends.

The brunch menu is available all day and so are coffees and fresh juices and smoothies. The portion sizes are very satisfying and so is the food served.

REY PABLO

 Leof. Vasileos Pavlou 89, Voula

Across the street from Oven there is another coffee place, also very popular among locals. Rey Pablo is an espresso, wine and gastro bar welcoming guests at any time of the day.

Rey Pablo’s philosophy was to create a modern concept which can be distinguished by the uniqueness of the products, the service, the modern architecture and the atmosphere of the place. All the food is made in-house, using only high quality materials.

The menu offers a wide variety of choices including healthy and vegan options. During the night it becomes a bar where professional bartenders create delightful cocktails.

DENTRO

Leof. Vasileos Pavlou 84, Voula

Nestled in a cozy corner of Voula’s square, Dentro All day bar is the perfect destination for any time in the day, from the early hours to the later ones. Their brunch menu is rich and very carefully created, as the kitchen only uses high quality and biological ingredients. Here you can enjoy coffee or business meetings, lunch and dinner with cocktails during night!
